I was browsing through my old Bible Study notes and I came upon this one written on July 10, 2009….
The extent of man’s depravity includes the emotion, the mind and the will.
Ramifications:
1. in the eyes of God, we have done nothing good and acceptable in His eyes.
2. we cannot save ourselves, no matter what we do.
3. since we are totally depraved, every one of us has the capacity, tendency and potential to commit every sin written in the Bible.
Consequences of Depravity
1. we are dead in the eyes of God.
2. we are by nature object of God’s wrath
3. our conscience is defiled and is not a sure guide unless illumined by God
4. we are naturally inclined to sin and not to God because our mind, will and emotion are corrupted by sin.
5. because we are depraved, we are incapable of choosing God for salvation.
Solution to Depravity
1. become a new creature in Christ
Applications
1. these doctrine should humble us
2. we should have compassion to our fellow depraved human beings.
3. we don’t change the Gospel.
4. salvation is God’s work from start to finish.
5. appreciate more the love and grace of Jesus Christ towards us.

I went to Prayer Mountain and I felt the presence of God everywhere. He was there in my solitude. He was speaking to me while I was reading the Scriptures and He was there among us as we praised and worshipped Him.
